Our organization is dedicated to education, historical scholarship, research, and public dialogue. We provide infographics, books, articles, historical documents, essays, multimedia resources, and other educational materials to encourage learning, critical thinking, and informed discussion.
The inclusion of any publication, author, historical document, political theory, or ideological perspective in our library, website, or educational programs does not constitute an endorsement of every idea, statement, or action associated with that source.
We do not advocate, encourage, promote, or endorse:

Readers are encouraged to examine these materials critically, consider multiple perspectives, and draw their own informed conclusions. Publication or distribution by our organization should not be interpreted as approval of every argument, opinion, or historical action described within any work.
Our organization supports lawful civic participation, peaceful public discourse, academic inquiry, and the constitutional principles of freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of association. We believe that education is strengthened by access to a broad range of viewpoints, including those that have shaped history and public debate.
As a nonprofit educational organization, our mission is to inform, not to incite. We are committed to providing educational resources in a manner consistent with applicable law, ethical responsibility, and our charitable mission.

Political Activity Compliance
Our Commitment to Nonpartisanship
Our organization is recognized as a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As part of that responsibility, we are committed to complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing nonprofit organizations.
We do not endorse, oppose, or support candidates for elective public office, nor do we participate or intervene in political campaigns on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate.
Our communications, publications, educational materials, and public statements are intended solely to advance our charitable and educational mission. We may educate the public about issues relevant to our mission, conduct research, publish reports, and encourage informed civic engagement in a nonpartisan manner. When discussing public policy, our purpose is to provide information and promote constructive dialogue, not to influence the outcome of any election.
Our Board of Directors, officers, volunteers, and representatives are expected to uphold these principles in all activities conducted on behalf of the organization. Personal political opinions or activities of individuals are their own and do not represent the views or positions of the organization.
We maintain governance practices and internal policies designed to ensure compliance with the requirements applicable to organizations recognized under Section 501(c)(3), including the prohibition against political campaign intervention.
We believe that maintaining public trust requires integrity, independence, transparency, and adherence to the law. Our commitment to nonpartisanship reflects our dedication to serving our mission and the communities we support.

Our Commitment to Education and Free Expression
Our organization exists to educate, inform, and encourage thoughtful public engagement with the social, economic, and political issues that relate to our mission.
As a nonprofit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, we are legally permitted to publish, distribute, and discuss educational materials that reflect particular schools of thought, historical traditions, or political philosophies, including leftist, socialist, labor, anti-capitalist, progressive, and other critical perspectives, provided those materials further our educational and charitable purposes.
The First Amendment protects the rights of nonprofit organizations to speak, publish, educate, and advocate on matters of public concern. The Internal Revenue Code does not require charitable organizations to be ideologically neutral or to present every viewpoint equally. Rather, it prohibits organizations like ours from participating or intervening in political campaigns on behalf of, or in opposition to, candidates for elective public office.
Accordingly:

We may publish books, articles, essays, historical documents, research, and educational resources that reflect leftist or other political traditions.

We may analyze and critique economic systems, public policies, legislation, and governmental actions.

We may host educational discussions, lectures, reading groups, and public programs concerning social, political, economic, and historical ideas.

We may advocate for policy changes that advance our charitable and educational mission, consistent with applicable law governing lobbying by Section 501(c)(3) organizations.
At the same time, we do not:

Endorse or oppose candidates for public office.

Participate or intervene in political campaigns.

Use organizational resources to support or oppose any candidate for elected office.
The viewpoints expressed in our educational materials are presented in furtherance of our exempt educational mission. Our commitment to intellectual inquiry, historical scholarship, and public education includes the exploration of ideas that may be controversial or challenge prevailing social, political, or economic assumptions.
We believe that a healthy democratic society depends upon the free exchange of ideas. Providing access to literature, research, and educational materials representing a wide range of traditions, including those identified with the political left, is consistent with both our mission and the constitutional principles of freedom of speech and freedom of the press.
